After months of speculation regarding the former Barclays Bank building on Grove Street an application has been put forward to convert the building to a restaurant.

Rudy’s Pizza have instructed Studio 52 to design a plan for a pizza restaurant with associated internal alterations and replacement windows.

Rudy’s Pizza are part of the Mission Mars group which includes Albert Schloss at various venues, Schiller’s Hall in Liverpool and the Albert Hall music venue in Manchester

The developer states that with regards to the changes to the buildings appearance “these works are modest, sympathetic, and designed to preserve the building’s established character.”
