
Cheshire East have announced a new service for Wilmslow residents.
A mobile recycling centre will be available from 8am to 12pm at Oakenclough Community Hub SK9 2PZ.
The mobile recycling service will be available every second Saturday of the month. The first date is this Saturday, September 12th.
In order to use the service residents will need to book a slot, which can be made up to 30 days in advance.
Trade and Commercial waste is not accepted.
What is accepted:
- cans, tins, paper, card, glass bottles and jars for recycling
- bagged black bin waste
- bulky furniture items that can fit in your car – we ask that these are broken down into smaller pieces (we will accept small sofas, but these should not be broken down into pieces)
- mattresses
- small electrical or electronic equipment, such as kettles, hair dryers or microwaves
- fridges
- garden waste
What is not accepted:
- rubble or DIY materials
- plasterboard
- soil
- chemicals or paint
- tyres
- engine oil or cooking oil
- fluorescent tubes
- gas canisters of any type
- asbestos
- furniture containing glass
- mixed food and garden waste
- household waste that is not from your own address
- household waste that someone else has been paid to get rid of
