RoW working through Wilmslow Town Council has installed a blue plaque for Alan Turing in Bank Square

RoW Cllr Sally Harrison says :

“The plaque commemorates Turing’s arrest at the police station on Green Lane, subsequent conviction, apology, pardon by the Queen and the passing of Turing’s law.”

Project lead Cllr Jon Kelly says ” we hope it will be of interest for residents and visitors alike.”
